Life Update! Netherlands Pride, New Work, and Plenty of Parties 🤭

The last time I took a big trip, I literally had no home to come back to.

Now, I ended two months of travel feeling happier and more motivated than I have since I left Columbus, surrounded by new community, and eager to see what comes next.

One of the most vital ways we sustain ourselves is by building communities of resistance, places where we know we are not alone.

FAQs

A little explanation on what this place is and what you can find here!

Why’d you make this website?

Mostly as a personal creative outlet, one central place to hold/share all the little projects I get up to. Other reasons include:

  • Keeping my loved ones updated
  • More control/ownership than social media
  • Easily shared; no accounts needed!
  • Might be useful to others someday
How should I use this website?

Don’t “should” yourself! Do use it how you’d like. Right now it’s mostly blog posts with pictures and text. There’s a useful community page if you live in Columbus or the Netherlands, and someday soon I’ll add my art portfolio.

This is silly. Can I just hear from you?

Of course! My contact info is available here. I’m always happy to hear from friends, family, and anyone else who finds their way to this website!

I truly believe that forming connections and building community are the most important things we can spend our time on. As the world continues down this uncertain path, we must rely on our neighbors for stability, growth, and support. In community, we have opportunities to provide meaningful help to others, and as a result can build resilience to global forces of inequality and climate change. We can cut through the noise and polarization of mass media, and enjoy fuller, more meaningful lives by sharing them with others. So thanks for being a part of my community – wherever you are, you live in my heart.

    ChinAAAAA

Public transit, foreign stares, surveillance state, and consumerism, yay! The China leg of my trip was the most unfamiliar to me, and I was nervous about existing there as a trans person. My first interaction with the Chinese government affirmed this anxiety, as I was made to write and sign this for my visa application,…
